A Bactrian copper alloy zebu vessel
Circa 1st Millennium B.C.
Hollow-cast, with thin arched legs and flat hooves, the stylised head with flattened snout, large round eyes and slit mouth, the long horns curving inwards, the cylindrical spout protruding from between the shoulders, covered by a hump-shaped lid, with four loops once used to secure the lid, 6½in (16.5cm) high
