A Meissen pipe head, circa 1800

After the model by J.J. Kaendler, as a woman wearing a turban edged with pearls and jewels and a pink bow at her neck, the turquoise shaft moulded with gilt-edged scrolls, mounted with a similarly jewelled hinged metal cover and animal mask with chain at the shaft, 8cm long; 6cm high
