A Meissen teabowl and saucer, circa 1726

Painted with chinoiserie scenes, depicting two figures flanking a table on the saucer and a single figure on each side of the teabowl, within an elaborate gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and edged with iron-red and purple scrollwork, the sides and interior of the teabowl with indianische Blumen, the rims with bands of gilt scrollwork, gilt numeral 4. to both, incised / inside footrim of saucer the teabowl: 4.2cm high; the saucer: 12.8cm diam. (minor rubbing to gilding on teabowl) (2)
