This group was modelled by Kaendler in 1736 and reworked for the second time in 1741, when it is listed in his work notes for July: 'Ein Croppgen den Pantaleon Vorstellend nebst seinen bey sich habenden Frauen Zimmer Völlig erneueret solches aufs Sauberste auspoussiret und aufs neue brauchbar gemacht, Weiln die Forme Vorhero gäntzl. Ruiniret und unbrauchbar worden' [a group depicting Pantalone along with his female figure completely renewed and cleanly remodelled as newly made useable because the old form was completely ruined and became unusable].
