A Meissen armorial cup, circa 1745

Painted with a landscape scene depicting horsemen by a castle, within an elaborate gilt cartouche surmounted by a coat of arms, and enclosing the monogram 'FB' at the base, the gilt-edged handle flanked by flower sprigs, gilt scrollwork border to inside rim, 7.4cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt S.
