A Meissen coffee pot, circa 1738

The bulbous body painted with a continuous chinoiserie scene depicting figures flanking a fountain, and on the reverse, a figure descending from a palanquin, the spout gilt, the handle embellished with indianische Blumen, 17cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 46., incised x (repair to side, cover lacking)
