A Meissen turquoise-ground teabowl and saucer, circa 1740

The teabowl reserved with two quatrefoil panels painted with stylised Oriental landscape vignettes and a flower sprig to the inside, the saucer similarly decorated with flowers issuing from stylised rockwork with insects overhead, brown-edged rims, the teabowl: 4.5cm high; the saucer: 13.5cm diam, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed 2 inside footrim of saucer (2)
