A Meissen teabowl and saucer, circa 1720-30

Each moulded with fruiting vines heightened in enamels, the saucer painted with a European landscape scene depicting figures and boats by a river, within a shaped gilt scrollwork cartouche filled with Böttger lustre and edged with iron-red and purple foliate scrolls, the teabowl with a small landscape vignette within iron-red concentric circles, broad gilt strap- and scrollwork borders to the rims, the teabowl: 4.2cm high; the saucer: 12.1cm diam., crossed swords marks in blue enamel, incised x and / inside footrims (2)
