A Meissen beaker and saucer, circa 1728

The beaker painted with two scenes depicting figures in European landscapes, each within a gilt quatrelobe scrollwork cartouche, purple, iron-red and yellow foliate scrolls and trellis, flanked by two sprigs of indianische Blumen, the saucer with a similar cartouche with masks top and bottom, gilt scroll- and strapwork borders to the rims, the beaker: 7.7cm high; the saucer: 14.3cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to beaker, gilt T. to both, incised / inside footrim of saucer 2
