A sterling silver yachting trophy for the New York Yacht Club
circa 1909

in the form of a covered chalice, on a molded and chased raised circular base, supporting a column of varying forms, holding a tiered cup repeating the patterns on the base and with a gilt interior, the rimmed lid repeating the motifs from the base and the body of the cup, surmounted by a foliate inspired finial. Engraved around the the border of the base: New York Yacht Club/Rear Commodore Robinson's Cup for Sloops, Won by Weetamoe 1909.
13 x 5-1/4 in. (33 x 13.3 cm.) height x diameter.
