Promptuario manual mexicano.... Mexico: Bibliotheca Mexicana, 1759.
4to (203 x 148 mm). [46], 380, XC pp. Engraved frontispiece by Zapata, woodcut arms of the dedicatee. Title in typographic border. Small cancel slips pasted on on 2¶2r and ª1r. Period limp vellum, spine lettered in manuscript. Few wormholes, mostly marginal but affecting several words in K gathering, light soiling, vellum worn and darkened.
Provenance: Estelle Doheny (morocco bookplate, her sale, Christie's New York, Feb 1, 1988, lot 255).

FIRST EDITION. One of the most substantial works of the period in Nahuatl. Some copies have an additional 80 pp of sermons in Nahuatl at the end; this would appear to be a later issue as the present is complete according to the table of contents. Medina 4568; Sabin 58575; Viñaza 344.
