Folio (300 x 210 mm). a-z6 A-R6 S4 T-Z6 ET6 CON6 RVM6. Woodcut printer's device on title. Greek and Roman types, 2 columns. Later vellum over boards, spine lettered in manuscript. Some dampstain throughout, title with canceled ink-stamps and a large repair to foot (without loss), scattered minor stains and few very small worm holes.
Provenance: some early Greek and Roman marginalia; inked over stamps of Dominican Friars at Ferrara and Ferrara University on title.
FIRST EDITION of Tricaelius's version of the work of Giovanni Crastone, being a collection of glosses (and sometimes individual words) intended to serve would-be authors of original Greek compositions. Adams T939.
