Early 19th century navy straight-grained morocco gilt by CHARLES HERING (binder's ticket), with Spencer arms on both covers, spine in compartments, tooled in blind and gilt-lettered, broad gilt turn-ins, paste-downs stamped in blind, all edges gilt.
