Gazophylacium linguae Persarum. Amsterdam: Janson-Waesberge, 1684.
Folio (364 x 230 mm). 18, 473, [1], [38] pp. Text in four columns. Engraved additional title. Letterpress title in red and black. Period quarter deerskin over marbled boards. Some browning throughout, hinges cracked, binding very rubbed, but sound and entirely untrimmed.

FIRST EDITION OF A RARE PERSIAN GRAMMAR. Labrosse was a Carmelite missionary who spent a decade in Persia and Arabia, becoming Prior at Ispahan and Basra. Brunet III, 719 ("Les exemplaires en sont peu communs").
