Folio (314 x 208 mm). a-z8 &8 ?8 Rx8 A-Z8 Et6. Text in double column. Title-page printed in red and black within architectural woodcut frame including portraits of Calepinus and Cornuco and arms of the printer; central device of publisher Guillaume Le Bret. Decorative initials. Later limp vellum with leather ties, spine lettered in manuscript. Title and last leaf with some old repairs affecting text, scattered few repairs within, h8 misbound before a8, small hole K7 with loss of few letters, some headlines shaved at beginning, some soiling and wrinkling to vellum and endleaves.
Provenance: Arthur Hugh Smith Barry (bookplate and shelf label of Marbury Hall).

Rare edition: we find no copies of this variant on OCLC. Not in Adams.
