Bearing on each side a sunken panel, one carved in low relief with Kioyu washing his ear in a waterfall, while the other is similarly carved with Sofu, the divine herdman, leading his ox beside a lake, the top and base each carved with a flowerhead on wave ground, the cord runners with stylised waves and the interior of nashiji, unsigned. 7.6cm (3in).
