Of upright form, bearing a sparse nashiji ground, lacquered in gold and coloured togidashi with an ukiyo-e scene of maiko entertaining a guest in a tea house, the reverse with a stone water bowl and ladle beside a verandah beneath an overhanging pine tree, the cord runners and interior of nashiji, signed Yanagawa Naoyuki with red gourd-shaped seal Ryugyokusai. 8.9cm (3½in).
