The roiroi ground shading to usu-nashiji, lacquered with a shima-hiyodori (rock thrush) perched on a flowering plum branch, in gold and silver takamakie, the interior of red lacquer with matt gold lacquer risers, signed Koma Yasutada saku. 7.3cm (2 7/8in).

The design is by Kano Tan'yu and is illustrated in the woodblock printed book, Gazu Hyakkacho, vol.2, published in 1729. It is the illustration number 49, Shima-hiyodori (Rockthrush), perched in a Ko-bai plum tree.
