Of muso-zutsu form, engraved in katakiri and kebori with Hokan Zenshi (Ch. Feng-kan) trying to restrain a snarling tiger, the design continued on the reverse, beneath a descriptive inscription, signed Chikko kyujin with seal. 22.5cm (8 7/8in).
