Opaque watercolor and gold on paper; the photo-realist portrait of the aged ruler shows him leaning on a European-style wood cane. He wears a vibrant blue pakha and white Kashmiri shawl over is left shoulder. He is adorned with a diamond and emerald pendent and wears a plain red turban. Set within an oval frame with gilt floral spandrels. Folio: 29 x 24 in. (77.6 x 60.9 cm.)
