An Illustration to the 'Shangri' Ramayana: Rama, Lakshmana, Sugriva And Vibhishana being led by the monkey army
Opaque watercolor on paper; the troop emerges from a ravine in the mountains into an open field of yellow. Two pairs of monkey soldiers occupy the upper and lower left corners and serve as the scouting party. Image 7 1/4 x 11 3/4 in. (18.5 x 30 cm.) Folio 8 1/2 x 12 1/2 in. (21.5 x 31.8 cm.)
