Distemper on cloth; seated on a meditation mat and leopard skin in his prescribed meditative pose, with both hands in his lap, the arhat Kanakabharadvaja is dressed red monk's robes. He is surrounded by a golden orb and green nimbus within a rock mountainscape. 17 3/4x 13 1/4 in. (45.1 x 33.6 cm.)
