Tibet, 16th century
Inlaid with colored stones; seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne, with his hands joined in dharmacakra mudra holding two lotus flower stems, one supporting the book of wisdom and the other his sword, wearing voluminous patch-work robes finely incised with scrolling foliate hems, his face with a benign expression. 8 3/4 in. (22.2 cm) high
