A model of a palace pavillion
India 19th/20th century
Ceramic and polychrome decoration; the rectangular structure in the form of a pavilion with a central, cusped niche and double column supports framing a seated turbaned figure smoking a European style pipe, with two facing attendant figures around a low fountain. The white porcelain is decorated with gold, red and black, partially lacquered. 14 1/2 x 8 x 12 in. (36.6 x 20.3 x 30.5 cm.)
