West Bengal or Bangladesh, 12th century
Seated on a lotus throne with four arms, her primary left hand thrusts a trident into the mouth of Mahisha who kneels at the base. Her upper hands hold other weapons and the primary right is in varada mudra. A small shivalingham is inset in the center of the base. 3 1/4 in. (8.2 cm.) high
