Footnotes

"My dear Forman, many thanks for the last proofs, and for all the trouble you have taken.. I have just come from seeing eels caught in twiggen wheels, so called all along the Upper Thamas..." The letter is not in Kelvin and seems to be unpublished. Loosely inserted are two detailed letters from F.S. Ellis to Forman (October 1885), about Morris changing publishers on the retirement of Ellis, and whether he should go to Reeves and Turner. On Forman's advice, he did, Kelvin 1157 showing Morris about to write to Reeves. See illustration overleaf.
