A screenplay from In Dubious Battle

Mimeographed manuscript with annotations, 132 pages. Writer/producer Lin Sutherland's annotated draft of In Dubious Battle, an adaptation of John Steinbeck's 1936 novel, bound with brads in plain green wraps. Together with a mimeographed manuscript by Frank Packard, 117 pages, dated September 15, 1978, another version of the same screenplay, bound with brads in blue wraps with Siegler, Diskant, Inc label to upper cover (identifying Sutherland as draft author). The documentarian Pare Lorentz also attempted to bring an adaptation of In Dubious Battle to the screen in 1939; neither version ever materialized.
