A large group of Bing Crosby signed checks
Over 850 in all, 1953-1969, drawn on his Crocker-Citizens National Bank Account and signed by him. Believed to be the checks given to his accountant for expense purposes. Many are travel-related, with recipients including the Hotel du Cap, Antibes; the Savoy, London; the Ritz, Paris; the Fontainebleau Miami Beach; the Hotel Sacher, Vienna; and the Royal Hawaiian, Honolulu. There are also many checks made out to charities, such as the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Southern California and many Catholic churches, as well as Republican political causes. Also included are wardrobe expenses, with checks made out to Brioni, Gucci, and Sulka, amongst others. Several of the checks also indicate expenses for projects he is working on, including performances with Bob Hope, the Dean Martin Show, Road to Bali and Little Boy Lost. Truly a comprehensive look into Crosby's life during this period.
