A 17th/18th century silver-gilt ciborium and cover with later additions
possibly Transylvanian or Hungarian, stamped with town mark of a tower and incuse maker's mark IH, or HI
The cagework receiver pierced with elaborate scrolls and three scroll-edged cartouches, each with the Holy monogram IHS and others monogram, "IHS" the reciever, bold fluted knop stem and spread circualr foot set with various stones in rub-over mounts, topaz, amethysts, garnets, torquoise and split seeed pearls, cover applied with a gem set crucifix, together with a wood box, height 40.5cm, weight 37.27oz. (2)
