An early 19th century unmarked South American silver two-handled tureen and cover

second quarter of 19th century
Lobed ovoid form and raised on four short scroll feet capped with lion-mask, the naive gadroon border fixed with rivets, the separate domed cover with detachable scroll and leaf finial, height 23cm, length 28cm, weight 45.38oz.
