A George I silver caster

by Paul De Lamerie London 1719
Of Octagonal form with alternate straight and incurved sides on spreading base of conforming outline, applied with a moulded girdle, the unmarked pull-off high domed cover applied with knop finials and finely pierced and engraved with panels of lattice-work, medallions and intricate scrolls, now engraved with crests, height 22cm, weight 22.94oz.

The Revd Edward Serocold PEARCE, son of Very Revd Dr William Pearce, Master of the Temple 1787, Jesus College, Camb., 1789 and Dean of Ely, 1797, received Royal Licence (30 July 1842) to assume the additional name and arms of SEROCOLD.
