A George III/IV matched five-piece silver tea service
by Charles Aldridge, London 1791, the sugar and cream, by William Bateman, London 1821
Comprising: teapot and stand, sugar basin, cream jug and tea caddy, of oval barrel form, with bright engraved borders and central cartouche, the lockable caddy with dome-hinged cover and urn finial, the teapot with wooden loop handle and disc finial, the stand raised on four waisted scroll feet, the sugar and cream with reeded angular handles, crested, height of teapot 15cm, weight total 45oz. (5)
