A George III silver oil and cruet set

by Peter Desvignes, London 1777
The navette body with goat's head masks and beaded rim raised on four fleur de lys feet, the slender baluster cut-glass bottles with foliate and fleur de lys mounts and covers with reeded handles, supported in twin holders with reeded rims and pilaster uprights, crested, height 24cm, length 27cm, weight 22.5oz.
