A large William IV silver wine ewer
by Edward, Edward Jnr, John and William Barnard, London 1836
Inverted blauster form, the rim cast in relief with fruiting vines, the upper body embossed with a band of floral bouquets, the panelled lower body embossed with stiff-leaf decoration, stylised bifurcated fruiting vine handle, the dome-hinged cover surmounnted by a bunch of grapes on a leafy calyx, on a leaf embellished shaped-circular base, height 35cm, weight 45oz.
