A famille rose turquoise-ground candlestick
Daoguang, four-character mark Jing jin tang zhi (Hall of Skilfully Acquired Progress)
Rising from a bell-shaped base with two-tiered drip pans, brightly enamelled with the Eight Buddhist Emblems alternating with leafy lotus scrolls reserved on a rich turquoise ground, divided by linked ruyi-heads and lappet borders, all outlined in gilt and above a key-fret band, the interior centre of the smaller drip pan decorated with a stylised floral emblem. 27.8cm (10½in) high
