A wucai flaring vase, gu
Shunzhi
Painted and enamelled around the top section with the Eight Daoist Immortals surrounded by pine trees, greeting Shoulao holding a ruyi sceptre arriving on the back of a flying crane amidst scrolling clouds, the mid-section decorated with peony, lotus and chrysanthemum sprays above the bottom band of pomegranates, the interior flaring rim with a border of floral tendrils, mounted on a low bronze stand.
