An enamelled rectangular plaque

Cyclicaly dated renshen year (AD1932), signed and sealed Wang Yeting
Enamelled in shades of grisaille, sepia, green and blue with a boatman punting in a mountainous riverscape enclosing pavilions, inscribed and sealed at the top. 38.6cm x 25.3cm (15in x 9½in)

Provenance: purchased in the late 1990s from Dominic Jellinek Ltd. and Carter Oriental Ltd. who are believed to have originally bought them directly from the late Anthony Evans, the well-known collector of 20th century Chinese porcelain.

The inscription may be translated as:

The Cloud's reflection on the bright waves.
In the style of Niaomu shanren in spring in renshen year, by Yeting, Wang Ping, being a guest at Zhushan.
