A famille rose rectangular plaque

Republic Period, signed and sealed Cheng Yiting
Delicately and brightly enamelled in shades of green, pink, yellow, coral-red and blue with a bird perching and singing on a bamboo stalk among branches of leafy blossoms and berries, inscribed and sealed at the left. 39.5cm x 26.7cm (15½in x 10½in)

Provenance: purchased in the late 1990s from Dominic Jellinek Ltd. and Carter Oriental Ltd. who are believed to have originally bought them directly from the late Anthony Evans, the well-known collector of 20th century Chinese porcelain.
