The deep carving depicting a complex continuous scene of numerous scholars variously gathering in pagodas, one with a four-tiered tower, traversing a long bridge between rocky outcrops and standing on eight covered barges to view a race between two dragon boats manned by oarsmen and flying many small flags at the bottom of the scene.
