Cast seated cross-legged, her hands held gently above the lap with palms upward, the eyes downcast with a serene expression beneath a high tiara containing a small figure of Amitabha and cloaked with a lotus-scroll-edged veil, the edges of the robe also with incised lotus scroll, the folds spreading out to the front of the figure. 27cm (10½in) high
