A cloisonné enamel 'dragon' vase, hu

17th century
Colourfully enamelled on each side with a pair of dragons pursuing the flaming pearl amidst cloud scrolls and above the legendary islands of Penglai, framed by narrow floral borders with the top one set with a pair of bronze mask loose ring handles, the neck with a further similar border dividing grapevine hanging on a trellis and a meandering lotus scroll, the foot with four striding horses above islands and waves, all reserved on a turquoise ground with cloud scrolls.
