A white jade chain-hanging basket and cover

Qing Dynasty
The lustrous white jade formed as a flattened bottle carved on each side with highly stylised confronted chilong in the central band beneath a band of ruyi-heads at the neck, the cover with two bats surrounding the smoothly-shaped finial, the two reticulated chilong handles each suspended from a long chain hanging from a yoke formed with a chilong head at each end, all suspended from and supported by the surrounding wood stand.
The vase 8.6cm (3½in) high, overall 20cm (8in) high (3).
