An unusual robin's-egg-glazed square vase, cong

Guangxu
Modelled in the form of an archaic jade, painted in white slip over the mottled turquoise ground variously with plum blossom, bamboo, chrysanthemum and lily, the short everted neck decorated with torn-off sprays and butterflies.
26.5cm (10¾in) high.
