An iron-red and gilt saucer dish
18th century, seal mark Shou shan fu hai
The interior carefully decorated in iron-red, grisaille and gilt with a central shou character encircled by five interlinked bats, all surrounded by two shou characters and two fu characters alternating with pairs of confronted bats in flight, the border with a lotus meander, the exterior with nine bats flying through two rows of foaming waves between four rocky outcrops. 25.6cm (10 1/8in) diam.
