An Egyptian limestone statue base
Late Period, circa 600 B.C.
With traces of two feet, inscribed with twelve complete columns of hieroglyphs and two incomplete, with a priestly genealogy, beginning 'Priest of the noble ba of Khnum, Sepdet and Anuket (triad of elephantine), priest of Sekhmet residing in Elephantine....' and with recurring names of Wer-djehuty and Pa-di-nefer-hotep, ending with 'the priest Sheshona true of voice son of..' 10¾in (27.3cm) long
