A Bactrian composite bronze and stone figure
Circa late 3rd - early 2nd Millennium B.C.
The stylised shallow bronze body depicted with two layers of drapery, the underlayer with a horizontal incised wavy pattern, a central vertical incised line representing the legs, a cloak-like garment over the top, encircling the neck and covering the outer edges, decorated with a similar wavy pattern, the separately-made white stone head set into the neck, with large almond-shaped eyes, the bronze hair centrally parted and flicking out at the back, with incised details, 2¼in (5.7cm) long, 1¾in (4.4cm) high
