A 12 gauge Belgian sidelock ejector shotgun for Henri Scherrer, Paris

Serial no. 276, 12 gauge. 28 1/2 inch barrels with ivory bead and flat, matte rib. Liege proofs. Side clips. Ejectors. Non-automatic safety with gold S. Double triggers. Fences, top lever and sidelock action engraved with broad leafy scrolls on a ground of fine scrollwork. Floorplate marked Henri Scherrer Paris. Triggerguard engraved en suite. Checkered fore-end with Anson release and straight grip stock of partly figured walnut. Red rubber buttpad.
Condition: Very good. Barrels with reblued finish. Bright bores with few minor marks. Action with smooth grey metal. Triggerguard with some light spotting. Fore-end with scattered marks and slivered loss to left front. Buttstock with light marks and probably replaced.
