A 12 English Excellentia Grade sidelock ejector gun by W.& C. Scott

Serial no. 60684, 12 gauge. 28 inch barrels with single silver bead, the flat matte rib drilled and tapped at breech and marked Scott's/Improved/Bolt; breeches marked W.& C. Scott & Son The Excellentia/78 Shaftsbury Avenue London; fitted with rectangular scope mount. Ejectors. Scott's crossbolt. Automatic safety. Casehardened scroll-engraved sidelock action. Double triggers. Scroll-engraved triggerguard. Checkered splinter fore-end with lever release and semi-pistolgrip stock of dark, partly figured walnut. Dreier red rubber buttpad. Together with later hardshell case containing rectangular barrel mount and Nydar Model 47 Optical shotgun sight.
Condition: Good to very good. Barrels with reblued finish showing scattered light pitting. Clean bores. Action with traces of faded casehardening. Sound wood with numerous light marks, some wear and bruises to checkering and one deep dent to tip of comb.
