A 12 gauge English boxlock ejector shotgun by Cogswell & Harrison

Serial no. 40474, 12 gauge. 30 inch blued barrels, matte concave rib signed Cogswell & Harrison 226 Strand London Eng. Single brass bead. Ejectors. Automatic safety. Double triggers. Casehardened boxlock action. Checkered splinter fore-end and semi-pistolgrip stock of straight-grained walnut. Large brass oval. Old English brown rubber buttpad.
Condition: Very good. Barrels retain 70-75% of an older reblued finish. Bright bores, left tube with some light marks. Action with traces of faded casehardening. Horn fore-end insert replaced with wood. Buttstock with pinned and glued repair to left side behind frame juncture.
