A 12 gauge English underlever hammer shotgun by William Watson & Son

Serial no. 3409, 12 gauge. 28 1/2 inch Damascus barrels, concave rib marked W. Watson & Son 315 High Holburn London. Blued and scroll-engraved Jones underlever action. Blued and scroll-engraved back action locks signed Watson & Son. Checkered wedge-fastened fore-end with horn insert and checkered straight-grip stock of dark walnut. Steel buttplate. Vacant oval escutcheon.
Condition: Very good. Barrels showing much darkened Damascus pattern. Generally clean bores showing light marks throughout. Action and locks with portions of older reblued finish. Sound wood showing numerous small marks and some wear to checkering.
